Join us for our fun and exciting day camps!

        Hours: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

                         Before care from 8:00 am – 9:00 am and after care from

                         4:00 pm – 5:00 pm are available for an additional fee

        Location: Halsey Science Center on the UW Oshkosh campus

        Grades: Kids entering grades 2nd – 7th in the fall can enroll

        Cost: $40 for each one-day session

                          Sign up for as many individual days as you would like

                          Please note that the Fun Day sessions are for 2nd-4th grade only



Monday Fun Day 1: August 14 – Join us for a lighter day of camp including rock climbing at the Student Rec and Wellness Center and exploring sustainaiblity through reuse of materials to build vehicles and converting fruit juice into electricity!

Minerals Rock: August 15 – Come explore geology in this camp all about rocks and minerals. We’ll learn how they form, what they’re used for, and send you home with some of your very own mineral crystals.

Science is Magic: August 16 – Astound your family and friends after you spend the day learning tricks that seem like magic but are actually science. We’ll also perform a show where we will see if you can figure out the secrets behind some of our more dangerous illusions.

Kid Versus Wild: August 17 – Let’s get outside and see if you’ve got what it takes to survive in the wild. Learn strategies for building shelters, staying warm, gathering food, and finding your way home.

Friday Fun Day 1: August 18 – Join us for a lighter day of camp where we learn to screen print in the Art Department, take a field trip to Offbeat Press to see our t-shirts being printed, and create repeating patterns in a variety of fibers!




Monday Fun Day 2: August 21 – Join us for a lighter day of camp where we observe the Solar Eclipse that will be taking place.  Building off the inspiration from NASA, we will also be building & launching rockets.

Crazy Chemistry: August 21 or 22 –Grab a lab coat and prepare to get crazy! Learn how to do fun color changing and bubbling chemical reactions then join us for an explosive demonstration show!

Buzzing Bugs: August 23 – Explore the miniature world of insects and other small creatures by getting down to their level. Race pill bugs, play with caterpillars, and explore nature.

Storm the Castle: August 24 – Ready, aim, fire! Build catapults and other medieval devices while learning about science during the middle ages.

Friday Fun Day 2: August 25 – Join us for a lighter day of camp where we explore surface and groundwater.  Campers will mold landscapes in the GeoProcess lab, build groundwater models to take home, and end the day with a boat ride on the Fox River where they will help collect water quality data.
